Montreal Melamed’s Tent Welcomes New Generation in Baltimore

In Rabbi Dovid Leib Wilansky’s Pre-1A classroom at Cheder Baltimore, the children are learning about Avraham Avinu’s tent in honor of Parshas Vayeira. But the tent they are using carries a special history.

The very same tent was used for years by his father, Rabbi Tzemach Yosef Yitzchok Wilansky a”h, in his own Pre-1A classroom at Tomchei Temimim in Montreal.

Now, a new generation of young talmidim is learning with the same hands-on approach, continuing Rabbi Wilansky’s legacy of chinuch.

As Chazal teach, “Mah zaro bachayim, af hu bachayim.” Just as his descendants are alive, so too does he live on.
