At the close of a meaningful bein hazmanim initiative, the bochurim of Mesivta YTTL Queens came together for a special event featuring a Chinese auction, a rare Ksav Yad Kodesh raffle, and recognition for their learning and commitment, setting a positive tone for the new zman.
The energy in the room was palpable as the bochurim of Mesivta YTTL Queens gathered in the OM dining room for the grand finale of an inspiring and wide-ranging mivtza, celebrating their spiritual accomplishments over the Pesach break.
The initiative was carefully planned and led by the devoted shliach, Hatomim Meir Jabra, whose enthusiasm sparked an outpouring of dedication from the tmimim. The result was a joyful and uplifting event that marked weeks of meaningful growth.
This unique mivtza encouraged the bochurim to live each day of bein hazmanim as a true Tomim, with daily sidrei limud, including chassidus before davening, full participation in minyanim, consistent learning of Nigleh, and of course, Chitas, Rambam, and inyonei geula u’Moshiach. The focus was on making every moment count.
A specially prepared kovetz limud, which included learning in Nigleh, Chassidus, and sichos, provided a clear structure and helped the bochurim stay on track throughout the break.
Thanks to the support and encouragement of the mivtza, the bochurim made the most of their Yom Tov and Chol Hamoed. Many joined the “Yeshivas Bein Hazmanim Pesach in Crown Heights” in person, keeping the atmosphere of kedusha and Torah strong even outside the regular zman.
A highlight of the program was the grand Chinese auction, which featured a wide selection of valuable prizes. These included a full set of Shas, Sefer HaMaamarim Moadim, Maamarim Melukat, a drone, high-quality headphones, a seltzer machine, and much more. There was something for everyone, adding extra motivation for participants to go above and beyond.
The most moving and powerful moment of the evening came during the special raffle for a Ksav Yad Kodesh from the Rebbe, a handwritten note from the Rebbe himself. The crowd was visibly moved by the awe and privilege of such a prize.
This exclusive raffle was reserved for those bochurim who accepted extraordinary commitments, such as avoiding the internet throughout the entire Pesach break and completing a substantial amount of learning in Maseches Kesubos. Their dedication brought an elevated spirit and deep inspiration to the entire event.
The grand prize winner of the Ksav Yad was Hatomim Yosef Yitzchok Klien.
Hatomim Meir Jabra expressed deep gratitude to Rabbi Dovber Feldman for his help in organizing and running the event, and to Rabbi Yossef HaCohen Hendel, the menahel, for his behind-the-scenes support and guidance throughout the planning process.
Special thanks were extended to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Baruch, who generously sponsored many of the prizes, making sure the hard work of the bochurim was properly recognized and rewarded.
Appreciation was also given to Rabbi Menachem Mendel D. Yusewitz of the Vaad for graciously hosting the event.
