Machon Chana Presents Tribute to Rebbetzin Chana

A new video tribute “Machon Chana: Fifty Years of Advancing Rebbetzin Chana’s Vision,” describes the founding and naming of Machon Chana by the Rebbe and his great love for the school and its students.

Machon Chana is delighted to introduce a brand new video presentation, “Machon Chana: Fifty Years of Advancing Rebbetzin Chana’s Vision,” now available on YouTube.

Prompted by the Rebbe’s 70th birthday call for 71 new institutions, Machon Chana filled the emerging need to provide Jewish education based on Chassidus to women with limited Judaic backgrounds. In the wake of the growing baal teshuva movement, the Rebbe strongly encouraged the endeavor, emphasizing the great importance of educating women.

The professionally produced video describes the founding and naming of Machon Chana by the Rebbe and his great unique and poignant love for the school and its students. It features interviews and profiles of accomplished alumnae from around the world. With the new institution perpetuating Rebbetzin Chana’s legacy, the Rebbe derived personal nachas in observing the young women emulating his mother’s fine qualities.

The video tells the Machon Chana story through the perspective of its alumnae, who include shluchos, educators, authors, artists, business owners, and mothers/grandmothers of growing Chabad families worldwide. Footage also includes archival photos of the Rebbetzin and of the early days of Machon Chana.

The 11-minute long video is very suitable for showing at a Vov Tishrei event or any other N’shei Chabad or Chabad House gathering. YouTube link:
