Yud Tes Kislev marks the date the Alter Rebbe was freed from prison after being arrested by the Tsarist authorities on trumped-up charges. It is celebrated annually as the ‘Rosh Hashana of Chassidus’, and chassidim mark the day with joyous farbrengens and accepting hachlatos to increase in the study of Chassidus.
