The levaya for Rabbi Moshe Aaron Kasinetz, founder of the orthodox community in Livingston, New Jersey, passed by 770 on Sunday afternoon.

The levaya for Rabbi Moshe Aaron Kasinetz, founder of the orthodox community in Livingston, New Jersey, passed by 770 on Sunday afternoon.

Rabbi Kasinetz is survived by his wife Sarah Kasinetz, and his daughters Leah Barber – Crown Heights; Esther Prus – Crown Heights; and Shlomit Frommer – Livingston, NJ. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shiva will be observed at the Kasinetz residence, 93 N. Livingston Avenue, Livingston.

  1. I and my wife, Miriam Greenberg, may she rest in peace, were fortunate enough to have Rabbi Kasinetz accept our invitation to lead the shul that we founded back in 1969 in Livingston. He was a wonderful rabbi, accepting of anyone and everyone, and he was instrumental in building the shul into a large and cohesive orthodox community. He’ll be sorely missed by many.
