Kinus Gives Shluchim Fresh Energy and Tools
The annual National Kinus Hashluchim of Eretz Yisroel concluded on a high note after a full schedule of practical workshops, professional sessions, and farbrengens, with the shluchim leaving uplifted and strengthened for their critical avodas hashlichus.
The annual National Kinus Hashluchim of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in Eretz Yisroel at the Nir Etzion Hotel, with the participation of shluchim from across the country, progressed with a full schedule of practical workshops, professional sessions, and central gatherings geared toward strengthening the ongoing work of shlichus and concluded on a high note with the shluchim taking renewed strength for their ongoing work of shlichus.
The morning sessions focused on community building, technology, personal connection, and the core areas of running a Chabad House. A workshop on building and managing a community, together with fundraising and donor management, was held under the sponsorship of Rabbi Yitzchok Mishan, and focused on developing relationships with mekuravim and building a donor base. The session was led by Rabbi Dovid Kurtz of Tzach, with the main presentation delivered by Rabbi Hershy Druckman of Seine-et-Marne, France.
A panel on using artificial intelligence to support and streamline shlichus, titled “Alef Bina, AI in the Service of Shlichus,” was moderated by Rabbi Reuven Schneerson of Kiryat Gat, with participation by Rabbi Dov Hevlin of Kiryat Gat, Rabbi Yehoshua Fish of Kiryat Tivon, Rabbi Lior Elimelech of Herzliya, and Rabbi Shlomo Kupchik of Haifa. Another workshop, “Personal Attention,” focused on using personal life events to create lasting connections and was led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kramer of Tzach, with Rabbi Avrohom Meshi-Zahav of Ramat Hasharon and Rabbi Moshe Chaim Toister of Be’er Sheva.
A session on turning businesses into steady supporters of shlichus addressed ways to involve companies through corporate responsibility, and was led by Rabbi Levi Diamond of Impact Israel, with Aharon Malach and Yuval Alpert of Atlas Social Investments. A separate spiritual session, “Learning Like in Yeshiva,” brought the atmosphere of Tomchei Tmimim to the Kinus and was led by Rabbi Boruch Levnoni, rosh yeshiva in Tiveria.
Before midday, the shluchim gathered in the Yefe Nof hall for the central session, “Thankful for the Past, Preparing for the Future,” moderated by Rabbi Zalman Gorelik of Be’er Sheva. The session included the unveiling of a special musical program for mekuravim ahead of Gimmel Tammuz. Greetings were delivered by Barak Nardi, CEO of Mercantile Bank, one of the Kinus sponsors. After the session, the shluchim posed for the traditional group photo in the main hall, singing the niggun of Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
Following lunch, the shluchim divided into focused professional sessions. Rabbi Hershy Druckman delivered a follow-up workshop on building healthy relationships that sustain shlichus. At the same time, Tzachi Feder, an AI expert and risk management officer at Mercantile Bank, gave a practical presentation titled “Everything About AI, From the Basics to Advanced Tools.” A session for shluchim in moshavim and community settlements was led by Rabbi Ariel Lemberg, secretary-general of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, with participation by Rabbi Eliezer Brod, a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council and rov of Carmi Yosef, and Rabbi Shneur Guri of the Avital-Gilboa communities.
Additional afternoon workshops included “A Shliach Makes a Shliach,” on building healthy working relationships between shluchim, led by Rabbi Yehoshua Slaposhnik of Tzach, with Rabbi Yeshayahu Lifsh of Netanya, Rabbi Shneur Slaposhnik of Tel Aviv, and Rabbi Dovid Cohen of Charish. Another session, “Parnasa with Rechov Through Shlichus,” presented practical models for financial stability, and was led by Rabbi Simcha Lipsker of Nesher, with Rabbi Mordechai Gorelik of Petach Tikva and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gorelik of Petach Tikva.
Toward evening, the shluchim took part in additional practical workshops, including a session with Rabbi Hershy Druckman on time management and reducing overload. A panel titled “Putting the Heart at the Center” focused on expanding the work of Lev Chabad in communities, and included the unveiling of a new shlichus initiative, Health Shlichus, developed by Lev Chabad, the medical division of Tzach, and designed for use by every shliach. Participants included Dr. Yakir Kaufman, a senior Health Ministry official, R’ Mendy Wiener of Anash in Migdal Ha’emek, R’ Aviad Raz of Anash in Rishon Letzion, and Rabbi Levi Mendelson, director of Lev Chabad at Tzach.
The evening continued with a lecture on effective social media activity, “A Presence That Brings People, Not Just Likes,” by social media manager Shaiky Galinsky. The workshop marathon concluded with a practical training session on the dedicated Shluchim App CRM system, presented by R’ Dudi Kaplan, head of the development team at Tzach.
After a full day of learning and practical guidance, the shluchim joined for dinner, where Rabbi Shimi Segal, shliach to the Knesset and Chabad spokesman, addressed the gathering. Following Maariv, the shluchim gathered for the highlight of the day, a farbrengen led by guest mashpia Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Gurevitch of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim in Migdal Ha’emek, closing the day with chassidishkeit, brotherhood, and renewed strength for their ongoing work of shlichus for the Rebbe’s nachas.
