Chana Was Always There for Everyone. Now She Needs Us.

Chana is 33 years old. A mother of seven. A wife. A shlucha. And for more than ten years, she has been there for everyone.

Chana and her husband are shluchim in Concordia, Argentina — a community of approximately 1,000 Jews. For years, they have been there for everything their community needs: Torah classes, Bar and Bas Mitzvahs, celebrations, visiting the sick, community events, and Jewish activities throughout the year.

But now, Chana is the one who needs us.

After last Pesach, following weeks of intense preparation, cleaning, and cooking for hundreds of people, the holiday ended — and Chana simply could not get up from the couch.

She was bedridden for about two weeks.

Severe pain in her back, legs, and feet. Herniated discs and additional spinal problems. Injections, strong medications, physical therapy, acupuncture, and treatments at home.

But nothing solved the problem.

We realized that we had to come to Israel so that Chana could undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation and receive the proper treatment.

Although we are Israeli citizens, we have been living in Argentina for more than a decade as Chabad emissaries. At this time, we do not have health insurance coverage in Israel, and arranging coverage will take time.

But Chana cannot wait.

Every doctor, every test, every treatment, and every medication comes directly out of our own pocket.

And meanwhile, we are a family of nine living in Israel: rent, food, transportation to medical appointments, educational programs for our seven children, school supplies, and every other basic expense.

We are asking to raise $180,000 to allow Chana to receive the care she needs, support our family through this difficult period, and, with Hashem’s help, eventually return to Argentina and continue our mission there.

For years, she has been there for others.

Now we are asking you to be there for her.
