Askanim working on immigration-related issues are warning those with expired, unresolved, or uncertain immigration status to use caution before flying — even on domestic flights within the United States.

Recent cases have raised concerns about immigration enforcement at U.S. airports, including arrests involving individuals who overstayed their authorized stay and some with immigration applications still pending.

Askanim stress that simply having an extension, adjustment, asylum, or other immigration application pending does not automatically mean a person is protected from immigration enforcement.
