Four people were killed and a number of others injured in a terrorist stabbing attack at a shopping center and gas station in Beersheba, according to emergency services.

Initial reports indicate that the terrorist first rammed into the victims and then exited the car and began stabbing the victims.

One woman, in her 50s, was critically injured and died of her wounds shortly later. Another woman, 34, passed away a few minutes later. The deaths of two additional victims, a woman of about 40 and a man in his 60s, were pronounced shortly later. Another two victims were moderately injured.

Reports said that the terrorist was an Israeli-Bedouin resident of the Negev who had an extensive background in terror-related activities. He was arrested in 2015, for supporting and promoting ISIS to students at a school he taught and served a five-year prison sentence.
