First Selichos Recited in the Rebbe’s House

A large crowd of Anash and guests gathered in the Rebbe’s house for the first selichos on Motzaei Shabbos, including a notable group from Russia led by Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar.

The group comprised supporters and philanthropists of the Russian Torah World Fund, who had spent Shabbos near the Rebbe’s Ohel in a program devoted to spiritual inspiration and preparation for the Yomim Nora’im. The visit was organized by Rabbi Mordechai Weisberg, director of the Moscow Jewish community.

At midnight, Rabbi Moshe Zilbershtein led the Selichos in the Rebbe’s house with his stirring voice, inspiring those present as they entered the atmosphere of the Yomim Nora’im. Members of the delegation departed with renewed commitments to strengthen their support for the Torah institutions of Russian Jewry in the coming year.
