The fire that broke out Wednesday evening on the rooftop of an apartment building neighboring the Jewish Children’s Museum caused extensive damage to the roof and attic.
Multiple fire trucks and dozens of firefighters responded to the fire on the roof of 800 Eastern Parkway shortly after 8:00 pm.
Firefighters managed to quickly bring the fire under control, and it seems that no damage has been caused to the Jewish Children’s Museum.
“Considering that the fire was limited to the roof and attic, it’s almost certain that the fire was caused by human negligence or worse,” a neighbor told Anash.org.
“That building has always been trouble,” another neighbor told Anash.org. “The siblings who own the building are in a yearslong dispute so the property gets neglected.”
