Dr. Asher (Allan) Plaut, 75, AH

Dr. Asher (Allan) Plaut, a beloved pediatrician who cared for generations of Crown Heights families, passed away on Shabbos, 8 Tishrei.

He was 75 years old and passed away following a short illness.

For more than four decades, Dr. Plaut maintained a pediatric practice on Kingston Avenue, where he became a familiar and trusted figure in the Crown Heights community. Over the years, he cared for generations of local children and was known for his dedicated medical care and personal connection with his patients and their families.

In 2018, Dr. Plaut was honored with a citation from New York State Senator Jesse Hamilton in recognition of his many years of service to the Crown Heights community.

A resident of Lawrence, New York, Dr. Plaut is survived by his wife, Dina, as well as his children and grandchildren.
