Hundreds Join Rabbi Zarchi for Tishrei Farbrengen

Hundreds of bochurim spending Tishrei by the Rebbe filled Oholei Torah for a farbrengen with Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi, head mashpia of the Central Yeshiva at 770, as part of the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim’s Tishrei programming.

Through stories and practical guidance, Rabbi Zarchi spoke about the privilege and responsibility of being the Rebbe’s bochurim, and keeping that connection alive through learning the Rebbe’s Torah and following his guidance.

He shared a story of Reb Hillel Paritcher, who entered a farbrengen and asked why everyone was sitting in the dark. After a few minutes, they explained, one gets used to it.

That, Reb Hillel pointed out, was precisely the problem.

Rabbi Zarchi urged the bochurim not to grow accustomed to a time when they cannot see the Rebbe physically. Learning his sichos and strengthening their hiskashrus must keep the connection, and the longing, alive.

The farbrengen continued into the early hours. Alongside daily sedorim, shiurim, and visits to the Ohel, these gatherings provide the structure and Chassidishe atmosphere that help bochurim make the most of Tishrei by the Rebbe.
