The excited chants of thousands of teens were heard throughout the streets of Crown Heights today as more and more CTeen Chapters streamed in for the 14th Annual CTeen International Shabbaton.
The Shabbaton began with registration and a lavish dinner prepared for the teens who had just arrived from their long journeys. Tables piled high with CTeen gear greeted the teens as they entered Oholei Torah, which was decorated entirely in CTeen colors and flair. For some, this Shabbaton is a reunion after not seeing their friends for over two years.
For others such as Shabbaton first-timer Ethan Benenson, of CTeen Hunterdon County, all of this is entirely new, “I really had no idea what to expect when I walked through the doors.” said Ethan, “but after feeling the palpable energy and buzz of tonight, I can’t wait for what’s coming next!”
