Crown Heights community leaders, Askonim, activists, Yeshivas, Shuls and moisdos have together launched a massive voter registration drive for the Lubavitcher community in preparation for the upcoming Assembly Democratic primary election, in what many are anticipating and on track to be the largest Democrat voter registration drive in the history of the Crown Heights Kehilah.

Harav Yosef Yeshaya Braun, Rov of Crown Heights, released a video encouraging all members of anash to register and to vote, emphasizing the importance of voting for the benefit to the Shchunah of Kan Tziva Hashem Es Habrocha.

The organizers of the CH Voter Registration Driver expressed that the initiative is apolitical and that residents should vote during the Democratic primary for whichever Assembly candidate they feel will best represent our community.

Since the start of the voter registration drive, hundreds of Lubavitchers have already registered to vote as a Democrat. The goal is to reach every local community member aged 18 years or older, most of those in our community who are unregistered are newly eligible yeshiva bocherim and girls of voting age, as well as many working singles who grew up either on Shlichos or in different Chabad communities throughout the United States but now currently reside in Crown Heights.

An additional aspect that shapes this voter registration drive different than all others, is the objective to register as a Democrat, so our votes can count during the primary election which matters most.
