Chabad Winter Fellowship Offers a Life-Changing Yeshiva Experience
Following a highly successful summer program that brought nearly 50 teens and young adults together for Torah learning, farbrengens, and lasting friendships, Chabad Fellowships is launching a new winter session in Morristown, New Jersey, offering Shluchim an opportunity to give young men in their communities a transformative experience in Yiddishkeit.
The upcoming Chabad Winter Fellowship, taking place December 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027, at the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, New Jersey, is designed to introduce young Jewish men to the warmth, excitement, and meaning of a Torah lifestyle in an engaging and welcoming environment.
With fully sponsored tuition, room, and board, a $200 weekly fellowship award, and transportation assistance, the program makes this unique opportunity accessible to students, with the flexibility to attend for one, two, or three weeks during winter break.
The fellowship is geared toward Jewish young men ages 16–24 who are not yet Shomer Shabbos, including high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as older students interested in exploring their connection to Yiddishkeit.
No previous yeshiva experience is required. Rather, the program provides an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in Torah and Chassidus, experience authentic Jewish life, and build meaningful friendships with peers on similar journeys.
For some participants, a Shabbos at Chabad may already be a highlight of their week. Others may have attended a CTeen event, put on Tefillin with a Shliach, or only recently begun exploring their Jewish identity. The fellowship builds on these connections, giving young men the opportunity to experience the richness of Yiddishkeit beyond occasional programs and events.
While Torah learning is at the heart of the fellowship, the experience extends far beyond the classroom. An exciting lineup of activities, including skiing, concerts, Shabbatons, and group outings, provides opportunities for participants to connect, develop lasting friendships, and enjoy an uplifting winter break in a positive Jewish environment.
The winter fellowship builds on the success of this past summer’s program, held in partnership with Tiferes Bachurim at the Morristown campus. Nearly 50 young men participated in a memorable experience combining meaningful learning, inspiring farbrengens, and exciting trips.
Highlights included visits to 770, a Shabbos in Crown Heights, and a trip to the Ohel. Many participants arrived without knowing one another and left with lasting friendships, a deeper appreciation for Yiddishkeit, and a stronger sense of Jewish belonging.
Organizers hope to recreate that same atmosphere of warmth, inspiration, and personal growth during the upcoming winter session.
Thanks to generous sponsorship, tuition, room, and board are fully covered for accepted participants. In addition, fellows receive a $200 cash award for each week attended, and transportation is provided for participants traveling from outside New Jersey.
Shluchim are encouraged to consider the young men in their communities who could benefit from this opportunity. Whether it’s a teenager who regularly attends CTeen programs, a college student who enjoys spending Shabbos at Chabad, or a young man beginning to take an interest in Torah and Mitzvos, a personal recommendation from a trusted Shliach can open the door to an experience with a lasting impact.
For many participants, a few weeks immersed in a warm, supportive Torah environment can become an important turning point in their Jewish journey.
Shluchim are encouraged to refer suitable students and share this opportunity with their families.
