Chabad Cheder Wins City’s Education Prize

A Lubavitch school in Beitar Illit earned national recognition after being selected as a breakthrough school in educational innovation and social leadership. At a prestigious Ministry of Education event, the Cheder’s unique chinuch approach, devoted staff, and uplifting Chassidishe atmosphere were praised as a model of success in chinuch al taharas hakodesh.

Beitar Illit’s education department marked a historic milestone last week, as the city was chosen for the first time to receive the prestigious Municipal Education Prize, recognizing the many innovative and groundbreaking educational institutions operating throughout the city.

A special source of Chassidishe pride was the recognition given to Talmud Torah Chabad Tiferes Menachem, which was selected as a breakthrough school in the fields of educational innovation and social leadership, earning recognition as a leading institution on the national level.

At a distinguished event attended by some 26 current and former deputy directors-general of the Ministry of Education, the Talmud Torah’s principal, Rabbi Shlomo Chananya Maman, was invited to present the school’s vision and accomplishments.

Rabbi Maman spoke about the Cheder’s unique educational approach and wide-ranging social initiatives, which have helped elevate the school into a model of success in chinuch.

His presentation was accompanied by a professional slideshow and video production highlighting the meaningful educational work taking place within the school each day.

Outside the hall, guests were greeted by a lively Chassidishe welcome arranged by a choir of Tzivos Hashem students, together with drummers and students carrying flags, who welcomed the participants with an energetic Lag B’Omer atmosphere.

The students’ impressive discipline and performance drew strong praise from members of the committee. Delegates expressed admiration for the school’s groundbreaking programs, the dedication of its staff, and the tremendous investment made in each individual student, all of which have helped bring the Cheder to new heights.

Following the event, the school’s administration received a special letter and certificate of appreciation praising the Cheder for its professional chinuch al taharas hakodesh and its devoted efforts in raising the next generation.
