A new book of essays on Tanya has been written and published by the bochurim of Shiur Gimmel Mesivta at Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad in Los Angeles, bringing to life the Chassidic approach to joy and service of Hashem.

The bochurim of YOEC learned through the entire Likkutei Amorim Tanya l’girsa over the past year with a specially prepared curriculum. Towards the end of the year, a competition was held where bochurim wrote essays about how Tanya’s perspectives deeply impact the life of a Yid – and especially a teenager. The essays were evaluated by a team of 8 judges, and the winners received gift cards to purchase Seforim of up to $500 in value.

Rabbi Yossi Klein, one of the mashpiim of shiur gimmel and organizer of the project, told Anash.org that the bochurim invested many hours into their essays: researching the material, discussing it with family members and teachers, and writing.

“It’s beautiful to see the power of the Rebbe’s hora’ah that bochurim should write and publish their Torah thoughts,” he said. “The bochurim really connected to the Tanya and related its teachings to their lives.”

This collection of inspirational essays has now been compiled and published as a beautiful hardcover book so that you can benefit from it as well.

Over the past 2 years, Shiur Gimmel Mesivta of YOEC has published the first and second volumes of Tanya Essays, and this year, they have published their third volume. Each book includes about 30-35 essays, and a few other creative pieces such as sketches, poems, or songs.
