At Great American State Fair, Kentucky Booth Features Chabad
At the Great American State Fair, fairgoers were welcomed by the Rebbe’s Shliach to Lexington, Kentucky, Rabbi Shlomo Litvin, who was personally invited to represent the state’s vibrant Jewish community at Kentucky’s official booth.
Chabad Shluchim proudly represented the vibrant Jewish community in the Bluegrass State at the official Kentucky booth during the Great American State Fair in Washington DC. Rabbi Shlomo Litvin, a Shliach of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in Lexington, Kentucky, was personally invited to serve as a host, bringing the warmth of Torah and mitzvos directly to fairgoers from across the Commonwealth and beyond.
The Kentucky booth showcased the best of what the state has to offer: its rich heritage, culture, industry, and people. Among the displays were select items from BourbonRabbi, the acclaimed distillery operated by Rabbi Chaim Litvin, another dedicated Shliach of the Rebbe in Kentucky.
Rabbi Litvin helped numerous Jews put on Tefillin, including several who fulfilled this holy mitzvah for the very first time.
“Each booth is intended to display everything the state has to offer,” said Rabbi Shlomo Litvin. “That obviously includes the Rebbe’s Shluchim.”
The presence of Chabad at the Kentucky booth underscores the Rebbe’s vision: that every Jew, wherever they may be, should have the opportunity to perform mitzvos with joy and connect to the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus. The Shluchim’s warm welcome turned an ordinary fair visit into an encounter with the eternal light of Yiddishkeit.
