Alejandro Rosenfeld, a Lubavitcher originally from Argentina, and later from Caracas, Miami and most recently of New York, passed away on Sunday, 12 Av, 5780.

He was 57 years old.

Born in Argentina he lived in Caracas for many years where he became a part of the Chabad community. He worked in the Chabad House for some time, he then moved to Miami where he continued to grow in Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit.

Eventually he moved to New York and was a dugma of a Mekushar to the Rebbe. He left an indelible mark in every Chabad community he resided.

Alejandro was predeceased by his wife Annabella and leaves a daughter Sharon and son Elias.  He also leaves his Mother Lilia and sisters Paola and Deborah, many friends and extended family.

The levaya will pass 770 at 2:30 pm and continue to Montefiore Cemetery.

Feel free to share your memories of the niftar.

  1. Oy rachamana litzlan!
People use the words mekushar so lightly but this man was SO UNIQUE!!
His strength.. his smile..his humility, so unassuming..his warmth!
Mamash you can see the lachluchis in his expression.. you can notice the same in the eltere chassidim of yesteryears like Reb Mendel Futerfas.. the pride and geshmak he had in his shlichus and his connection..

    Gashmiyus meant absolutely nothing..

Imagine..do you know anyone who is concerned.. ONLY with the kavana elyona of dira batachtonim?

Sweet as honey and kind to ANYONE..no judgement of anyone..

Off the top of my head..three things he said so nonchalantly..
    A)
“where did you go last night to eat on Friday night?”
His response: “So no one had a space for me so I found two bagels to make kiddish I’m fine..it was very good. REALLY don’t worry.”

    B) “of course I learn Basi ligani 5710 every single day. Yes every single day. You should too! Don’t you know the Rebbe said that it always can pull you out of where you are and take away the doubts?”

    C) I had to go to a immigration court case after imprisonment for days.. I sang the Alter Rebbe’s Niggun, no defense..no lawyer..but the Niggun..the immigration judge just looked at the prosecutor & screamed, “you want to take him away from our country!!! This is the kind of person we want in our country!!”

He came to Los Angeles to plant ruchniyus and gather gashmiyus..to fundraise.. whether he gathered gashmiyus or not, don’t think he knows..and he didn’t care so much..but he cared of ruchniyus and he indeed left an indelible impression on all who met him.

    1. He was the most amazing man I’ve ever met! I still cannot believe this has happened.
      Already miss him.
