Yudi Dukes dedicated his life to helping others, whether through JNet, or in a myriad of other ways. Now, when his family needs us, it is out turn to step up to the plate.

Throughput the short 39 years of his life, Yudi lived by the saying in Hayom Yom “a neshama may descend to this world and live 70 or 80 years, in order to do a Jew a favor b’gashmiyus, and certainly a one b’ruchniyus.” He was known never to turn down someone in need of a favor, and always had a smile on his face.

Even when he was hospitalized, Yudi continued to run JNet, working off of his phone and iPad in between blood checks, procedures, visits and therapy sessions. Even when he was suffering, he made sure to encourage and inspire others with messages of hope.

For the past 10 months, we have all lived with and through Yudi and his family. Every one of their hopes was our hope. Every one of their miracles was our miracle. Every one of their setbacks was our setback. Every one of their prayers was our prayer.

Now, when the unthinkable has happened, we are Yudi and his family. We are here to support, to comfort, to give what we can and do what we can. That’s what family does.
