Yeshiva Takes Sedorim to French Countryside

For the first time, Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim of Antwerp spent a full week in the countryside, with regular sedorim, as well as sports and special programs, including a niggunim program, quizzes on Chassidus knowledge, and other fun activities.

For the first time, Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim of Antwerp spent a full week in the countryside, as the entire yeshiva, led by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Menachem Mendel Tvardovitz, together with the hanhala, traveled to a beautiful campus near Paris.

The special trip was made possible through the generous support of Rabbi Levi Maimon, a shliach whose son learns in the yeshiva. Rabbi Maimon arranged the location and all the necessary accommodations, ensuring that the bochurim would have everything they needed for a successful and uplifting week.

Throughout the week, the regular sedorim continued as in yeshiva, including Gemara b’iyun, Gemara b’girsa, and Chassidus. During the breaks, the bochurim enjoyed swimming, sports, and special evening programs, including a seder niggunim, quizzes on Inyonei Chassidus, and other engaging activities.

On Thursday night, the bochurim farbrenged through the night with Paris shliach Rabbi Levi Azimov, who, in his usual heartfelt manner, inspired the talmidim about hiskashrus to the Rebbe. He spoke about the special zechus of being the son of a shliach, whom the Rebbe so greatly cherishes, and emphasized that when the bochurim are given such a good opportunity, they must use their time properly and be devoted chassidishe soldiers throughout the day and night.

Over Shabbos, the bochurim farbrenged with shliach to the Pletzel Rabbi Hillel Piekarski, who inspired them about Mivtza Tefillin and shared remarkable firsthand stories demonstrating how the Rebbe ensures that another Yid should put on tefillin.

On Sunday, Rabbi Maimon joined the yeshiva for a farbrengen marking the conclusion of the Bein Hazmanim program. He encouraged the talmidim to appreciate their time in yeshiva and to dedicate themselves simply to “zitzen un lernen,” sitting and learning with focus and devotion.

The hanhala of the yeshiva expressed its appreciation to hatomim Levi Lubetzky, who devoted himself to the success of the trip; to hatomim Avraham Elchadad, who took care of the many details of the trip; to the talmidim hashluchim who helped arrange the programs; to all members of the yeshiva hanhala who invested tremendous effort and traveled to France; to Rabbi Shabtai Slavaticki, who accompanies the yeshiva under whose shlichus it operates; and to all the talmidim who assisted in making the week a success.
