As Ukraine descends into a humanitarian nightmare, Rabbi Shlomo Wilhelm, Chief Rabbi of Zhytomyr and Western Ukraine, issues a heartfelt plea to the whole world to pray to G-d to stop this war.
Under continued shelling, Rabbi Wilhelm has been working day and night to evacuate women and children from Zhytomyr and the surrounding areas. Hundreds of children in the Chabad-run orphanage have already finally made it across the border into Romania.
Standing aboard the 10th bus he is evacuating from Ukraine, Rabbi Wilhelm pleads with his fellow Jews from across the world to pray to Hashem for this war to end.
“Why do we have to see these small children cry?! Why do we have to see Jewish mothers cry?! Ad Mosai?!”
“Today, on Erev Rosh Chodesh and plead with the Almighty Ad Mosai?! Bring the Geula already. We don’t deserve this catastrophe.”
“I beg all of you to say an extra chapter of Tehillim, add in good deeds, and in Tzedaka. Plead, enough already with wars. We want Moshiach now.
