A basic tenet in Chassidus is the advantage of the Ba’al Teshuvah over the Tzaddik. Especially now, as we conclude the month of Tishrei, this idea is a central theme in the month’s ma’amorim.

On a practical level, there is a certain excitement, a certain passionate intensity, that is visible in a Ba’al Teshuvah’s relationship with Yiddishkeit and Chassidus that just might not be the same by an FFB’s.
