Rabbi Yosef Braun, rov of Crown Heights and a member of the Beis Din, is set to headline this year’s Tzama events at Binyanei HaUma in Yerushalayim. Held in honor of Yud Tes Kislev, Rosh Hashana L’Chassidus, the event, now in its 17th year, draws enormous crowds from every sector of Israeli society.
Rabbi Braun, a renowned gaon known for his breadth of knowledge in halacha and Chassidus, is a sought-after speaker who draws large crowds wherever he appears. At Tzama, he will deliver the keynote at a number of the main events, including farbrengens and programs geared toward different audiences.
Tzama, organized by Rabbi Moshe Shilat, has grown into one of the largest Chassidus gatherings in Eretz Yisroel, drawing tens of thousands from across the country. Last year, nearly 40,000 people visited the complex within the first 72 hours.
The schedule combines musical performances, farbrengens, shiurim, exhibitions, and a large seforim fair, with hundreds of thousands of Sifrei Chassidus available for purchase.
Different events are aimed at different audiences. A central concert features world-renowned singers, combining niggunim with inspirational segments.
Programs are set aside for youth, with thousands of bochurim from schools and yeshivos taking part in educational programs, including the Lev Ladaas project, which tests students on their knowledge of Sifrei Chassidus.
Programs and farbrengens are also geared toward women and girls.
