Watch: Highlight Reel Captures Historic Siyum at Kosel

A powerful recap video captures the historic moments of the ninth Siyum Sefer Torah written for Jewish children, from its completion to its being led to the Kosel amid singing and dancing by tens of thousands.

A powerful new video captures the historic scene from Chof Av, when the ninth Sefer Torah written for Jewish children was completed and brought to the Kosel amid singing and dancing from tens of thousands of Yidden.

The clip shows the procession winding through the streets of the Old City, the Sefer Torah arriving at a packed Kosel plaza, and the hakafos that followed, capturing the energy and emotion of the historic celebration.

The Sefer Torah, representing 304,805 Jewish children from around the world, was completed at the Tzemach Tzedek shul before being carried through the streets of Yerushalayim to the Kosel, where it was joined by rabbonim, dignitaries, and a massive crowd for hakafos, singing, and the recitation of the Twelve Pesukim.

The campaign to write a Sefer Torah exclusively for Jewish children began in 5741 by directive of the Rebbe, with each child acquiring a letter through the work of thousands of shluchim worldwide.

The event was directed by Rabbi Shmuel Greisman, chairman of the committee overseeing the Children’s Sifrei Torah, and produced by Rabbi Schneur Raskin, shliach and director of the Chabad center in Alfei Menashe.
