Toronto Celebrates Siyum HaRambam with Grand Event

A full house of anash and bochurim gathered at Chabad Gate in Toronto for a grand event followed by a seudas mitzvah in honor of the Siyum Horambam. Guest speaker Rabbi Yosef Klyne, mashpia in the Nyack Yeshiva, enthralled the crowd with insight and inspiration at the siyum and farbrengen.

Toronto’s Lubavitch community gathered for a grand Siyum HaRambam, a display of hiskashrus to the Rebbe’s takana of daily Rambam learning.

The event, filled with inspiration and chayus, brought together Bochurim and Anash of all ages for an evening of limud haTorah and hisorerus.

R’ Zalman Aharon Grosbaum, Head Shliach to Ontario, opened the evening with divrei bracha, speaking about the benefits of studying the daily Rambam.

The crowd then joined together in the recitation of Kapitel 20 and 123 for Eretz Yisroel, led by R’ Eliyahu Serebryansky, a Melamed in the Cheder and the annual organizer of the Siyum HaRambam.

R’ Aharon Dovid Rapapport, Mashpia in the Mesivta, served as MC. He spoke about the zechus and brachos that come from learning Rambam b’kvius.

The Siyum HaRambam was led by R’ Shmaryohu Labkovski, Rosh Yeshiva of Lubavitch Toronto, who connected the Siyum HaRambam with the Siyum of Meseches Kesubos, currently being learned in Chabad Yeshivos worldwide.

Following the Siyum, R’ Meir Shlomo Zaltzman, a Melamed in the Lubavitch Cheder, led the Haschala, marking the beginning of the new cycle and encouraging participants to take upon themselves a renewed commitment to this daily limud.

The keynote address was delivered by R’ Yosef Klyne, Mashpia in Yeshivas Nyack, NY, and founder of Kolel L’lomdei Dach. He inspired the crowd to make Rambam a fundamental part of their daily avodah, emphasizing the koach it gives in both Nigleh and Chassidus.

The evening culminated with a Farbrengen, led by Rabbi Klyne, where participants farbrenged into the early hours of the morning.

The event was organized by R’ Eliyahu Serebryansky, with the assistance of Rabbi Sholom Ber Bakshi, Pasy Wolosow, and Yosef Kasle.
