Tonight: History of Lag BaOmer at Crown Heights Beis Medrash

The Beis Medrash of Crown Heights, a vibrant hub with a geshmak and welcoming environment for individual and chavrusa learning, is hosting a special shiur on Lag BaOmer by Rabbi Shmuel Super, lead researcher at JLI and noted Chabad historian.

Ahead of Lag BaOmer, the New Beis Medrash invites the Crown Heights community to a featured shiur titled Lag BaOmer: Origins, Traditions, and the Story Behind the Celebrations, delivered by Rabbi Shmuel Super, lead researcher at JLI, noted Chabad historian, and author of the “From the Margins of Chabad History” column on Anash.org.

The shiur will take place on Tuesday, 15 Iyar at 8:30 PM, at The Beis Medrash of Crown Heights, 630 East New York Avenue (Lower Level). All men and bochurim are invited.

The Beis Medrash is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, providing a warm and energizing space for nightly learning. A maariv minyan takes place at 9:15 PM, making it convenient for attendees to combine davening with limmud haTorah.

Launched by a group of young shuls, the Beis Medrash has quickly become a central fixture in the neighborhood, offering a fully stocked seforim library, refreshments, and a spacious setting ideal for both chavrusas and personal study.
