Mrs. Yocheved Goldberg, matriarch of a large family and sister of Rabbi Yudel Krinsky, the Rebbe’s mazkir for many years, passed away on Friday, Erev Rosh Hashanah, 5786. She was 96 years old.

Mrs. Yocheved Goldberg, matriarch of a large family and sister of Rabbi Yudel Krinsky, the Rebbe’s mazkir for many years, passed away on Friday, Erev Rosh Hashanah, 5786.

She was 96 years old.

Mrs. Goldberg was born to Rabbi Shmaya and Ettel Krinsky. Her father was a respected Chabad chossid and outstanding talmid chochom who later settled in Boston, where he worked as a shochet and had a major influence on the Jewish community. Their home served as a guesthouse for chassidim who came on behalf of the Frierdiker Rebbe to raise funds and strengthen Jewish life.

Mrs. Goldberg is survived by her children, Yonatan Goldberg, Sarit Ladani, Nisan Goldberg, Liora Heyman, and Shmuel Goldberg, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her youngest brother, Rabbi Yudel Krinsky, who served as the Rebbe’s mazkir for many years.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Rabbi Zev Aryeh Krinsky (Melbourne, Australia), Rabbi Moshe Eliezer Krinsky, Rabbi Yosef Dov Krinsky, Rabbi Pinchas Shmuel Krinsky, Mrs. Chava Devorah Schusterman, Mrs. Nechama Tzipa Goodman, and Mrs. Rivka Hecht.

The levaya took place Tuesday at the Eretz Hachaim cemetery in Beit Shemesh, Israel.
