“The Rebbe’s Rambam” Transformed Montreal

Rabbi Mendel Raskin of Beth Chabad of Cote-Luc in Montreal wrote a powerful account of what took place in Montreal after he purchased 35 sets of the new “Pardes Hamelech” Rambam and distributed them to thirty-five Litvisher Kollelim, Rabbonim and communities.

This past week, Rabbi Mendel Raskin of Beth Chabad of Cote-Luc in Montreal wrote a powerful account of what took place the last two weeks in Montreal.

Rabbi Raskin’s Chabad Center purchased 35 sets of the new Rambam and distributed them to thirty-five Litvisher Kollelim, Rabbonim and communities.

In his account, he describes the transformation he has seen among the Rabbonim and Torah learners from across all communities, and the newfound appreciation they have for the Rebbe’s Torah.

Here is his account:

My Dear Shluchim!

Allow me to tell you what happened in Montreal with the release of the new Rambam with the Rebbe’s Sichos – Rambam Pardes Hamelech.

On Gimmel Tammuz, when I visited Crown Heights, I purchased 15 sets of the Rambam to distribute to the community rabbis and Litvisher Kolels in my city.

It is hard to describe the impression the Rambam has made, with its thousands of sichos set beautifully on each page. I can only say that it is an unbelievable Kiddush Lubavitch and it brings an unbelievable kavod for the Rebbe and for his Torah.

In the recent weeks after my distribution, I have been swamped by requests from Rabbonim and Rosh Kollelim for sets for themselves and for their institutions. Wherever I go, I receive more and more requests from prominent Rabbonim, Rosh Yeshivas, Rosh Kollelim — they all want the Rebbe’s Rambam. As one of them told me, “I now hope to understand the Rambam better than ever before.”

In light of the demand, I reached out yesterday to the offices of Pardes Hamelech and ordered another nineteen sets.

My two-week experience with this Rambam has convinced me that this is the best way to bring the Rebbe to the world of Litvisher Yeshivos — by simply presenting them with this wonderful treasure-trove of Torah.

I don’t know if Rabbi Elituv did this on purpose, but the covers of the books were designed in a classic “Seforim” style, which also helped give them passage into many Shuls and Yeshivas.

I highly recommend this Rambam for every Shliach. Bring this Rambam to as many Rabbonim and Kollelim in your city as possible; it brings kavod to the Rebbe and to Lubavitch in the best possible way.

You can simply log on to Rambam-rebbe.com to order. Rabbi Elituv gives a 10% discount to anyone who buys over ten sets for distribution. (To receive the discount, don’t order through the website. Call or send a WhatsApp message to 972506555862).
