On this Hei Teves, we have the opportunity to uphold and strengthen the Chabad Library, for which our Rabbeim fought tirelessly over the years, and risked everything for the Library’s safekeeping.
Hei Teves is a day upon which Chasidim all across the globe celebrate the victory in the battle of ownership for the holy Chabad Library.
Anyone present at the time would tell you of the physical anguish and pain that was clearly visible on the Rebbe’s face throughout this entire ordeal, and how finally when victory was declared, the streets below 770 were literally shaking from the incredible dancing and Simcha.
Our Rabbeim fought tirelessly over the years, and risked everything for the Library’s safekeeping.
The Chabad Library is our heritage, our right, and our responsibility.
This year marks 35 years from the first Hei Teves. All of us have the opportunity, and indeed the obligation to uphold the grand Chabad Library, and to ensure the next generation come to know its storied history, see the holy literature and artifacts, and take pride in what rightfully belongs, and will always belong to Chassidim.
