A suspicious incident tonight in Kfar Chabad raised alarm among residents, leading to the arrest of two individuals—one a foreign national and the other an Israeli citizen—who were observed taking pictures of central locations throughout the village.

According to eyewitnesses, the two were seen moving around the neighborhood, taking photographs and video footage in a manner that drew the attention of several locals. Concerned by their behavior, residents alerted Moshe Gutman, head of the local security volunteer organization “Mitnadvim Bakfar,” who began trailing the pair discreetly while coordinating with law enforcement.

In the meantime, police confirmed that they had already received multiple complaints about the duo’s suspicious activity.

Upon the arrival of police forces to investigate the matter, the suspects attempted to flee and physically assaulted the responding officers. They were quickly subdued and taken into custody.

A search of their belongings revealed foreign passports and several hundred thousand shekels in cash, raising further questions about their motives and activities.

The suspects were detained for questioning and may be transferred to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) for further investigation, depending on the findings.

Authorities have not yet released additional details, and the investigation is ongoing.
