This weekend, the streets of Crown Heights once again filled with the unmistakable energy of Shabbat in the Heights, as communities from across the globe came together for an uplifting Shabbaton in the Rebbe’s shchunah.

Now in its ninth year, the annual program—organized by JLI—offers shluchim a fully curated Shabbos experience, enabling them to focus on what matters most: spending quality time with their community in the heart of Chabad. From inspiring davening in 770 and meaningful visits to the Ohel, to fascinating tours of the Rebbe’s library, safrus workshops, and local mikva’os, participants are immersed in the unique rhythm of Crown Heights.

“It’s got a mystique,” says Rabbi Hanoka, who serves as Shabbat in the Heights’ chairman. “They’ve heard about the Rebbe’s shul and the Ohel, but seeing it for themselves is a whole different ball game.”

Guests enjoy spirited Shabbos seudos with Crown Heights families, lively group discussions on Jewish thought, and the special pride that comes with simply walking down Kingston Avenue. Shabbat in the Heights 5785 will leave them with warmth, inspiration, and a sense of connection long after they return home.
