Unable to travel to New York for the Kinus Hashluchim, shluchim from across Russia traveled to the town of Lubavitch for an inspiring Shabbos near the Ohel and the chotzer of the Tzemach Tzedek and Rebbe Maharash.
During Shabbos the shluchim davened and learned in the recently rebuilt Shul adjoining the Ohel. Shabbos meals were held in the chotzer of the Rebbeim, the former site of Chabad headquarters and the original Tomchei Tmimim. The meals quickly turned into a farbrengen which continued for many long hours.
The Shabbos was hosted by the shliach to Lubavitch Rabbi Gavriel Gordon and the shliach to Smolensk District Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Mondshine.
The restoration of the holy sites in Lubavitch are fully sponsored by the noted philanthropists Yossi and Batshevah Popack through the efforts of the askan Mendel Levin and Geder Avos.
