A new nationwide Tanya learning initiative launched by Neros Leha’ir has drawn over 300 bochurim from yeshivos across Eretz Yisroel into a structured, year-and-a-half-long program to learn the entire Sefer HaTanya in depth.
The project is led by Rabbi Yudi Eisenbach, shliach in Fair Lawn, NJ, and Rabbi Simcha Birnhack, shliach in Rishon L’Tzion, with vision and funding from Rabbi Shmuel Yeshayahu, shliach in Vancouver, Canada. The program is also supported by Keren Meromim and Rabbi Yitzchak Mishan of S. Paulo, Brazil.
The project was formally launched on 24 Teves and is comprised of two parts. The first focuses on an in-depth study of Tanya, with an emphasis on understanding the structure and flow of each chapter. This segment includes four major tests, culminating in a comprehensive final test on the entire sefer.
The second part – a highlight of the program – will begin in the coming months, as bochurim visit Chabad Houses across the country to study Tanya with mekuravim, taking their learning to the next level and helping spread Chassidus to every Jew. Notably, many chavrusos formed during the previous cycle have continued long after the program ended.
“For years, many bochurim have yearned to know Tanya in-depth,” Rabbi Eisenbach told Anash.org. “This detailed, structured curriculum finally provides the organized and in-depth framework they need to succeed.”
A special learning seminar will also be held, featuring prominent rabbanim and mashpi’im, equipping participants with tools to approach Tanya with depth and clarity.
Each participant received a custom learning kit that includes the HaMaor ShebaTorah set of seforim on Tanya, the first issue of the new Yevonenhu magazine on Tanya, guided workbooks, a Tanya map and index, and review materials – designed to enhance clarity and make the learning more accessible throughout the program.
