A kinus Torah on topics of the Beis Hamikdash and a farbrengen in Crown Heights will mark the first yahrzeit of Reb Yoel Kahn, legendary teacher of Chassidus and the Rebbe’s chozer.

A double event in Crown Heights will mark the first yahrzeit of Reb Yoel Kahn, legendary teacher of Chassidus and chozer of the Rebbe.
The evening will begin with the annual Kinus Torah on topics of the Beis Hamikdash, held by Tzach every year during the Nine Days. The Kinus will begin with a video of Reb Yoel’s address to the very same event in 5773, and will be addressed by Rabbi Avrohom Hertz, maggid shiur in Oholei Torah and shliach in Bensonhurst, and Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twersky, mashpiah in Oholei Torah Mesivta and renowned mechanech.
A siyum on the entire Mishnayos, studied in memory of Reb Yoel, will be held by Rabbi Dovid Feldman, chief editor of Lahak Hanachos and student of Reb Yoel.
A special video presentation of moments from Reb Yoel’s life will also be shown, followed by ma’ariv.
The Kinus will be followed by a grand farbrengen marking Reb Yoel’s yahrzeit, with the participation of rabbonim, mashpi’im, Reb Yoel’s colleagues in his decades of serving as a mashpia in 770 yeshiva, in his work as editor of Sefer Hoerchim, and as the chozer, maniach and primary teacher of the Rebbe’s Torah.
The Kinus Torah and farbrengen will be streamed live on Anash.org.
