Rambam Challenge Extended, Raffle Winner Announced

The Sefer Hamitzvos and Rambam Hachlata initiative for girls and women, launched in connection with the Siyum, encouraged participants to strengthen their daily learning.

The Sefer Hamitzvos and Rambam Hachlata initiative for girls and women, launched in connection with the Siyum, encouraged participants to strengthen their daily learning.

Almost 100 women and girls were eligible for the raffle, after investing time and effort into their Hachlata. The raffle for a dime from the Rebbe has officially been drawn, with Sema Cohen announced as the winner! Thank you Rabbi Moishe Notik from Chabad of Sherbrooke for donating it.

Following the strong response and enthusiasm, several generous sponsors stepped forward, allowing organizers to extend the challenge through Gimmel Tammuz and open a new raffle for participants who recommit or join for the first time.

This round will start this Sunday, 2 Iyar and run through Gimmel Tammuz. The raffle will open up on Daled Tammuz.

Join the Hachlatos group for reminders and to receive the form when the raffle is open.

View photo below for complete list of Hachlatos options. Please note that the learning needs to be learned verbally (in any language). Participants will be eligible by maintaining their hachlata daily by completing the learning on time (the night before, day of, or that night).

The upcoming grand prize will be a full set of the Chitrik Rambam, or a set of Rambam or seforim of equivalent value ($400).

The initiative has already had a meaningful impact on participants across all age ranges:

Leah shared her appreciation for the program’s consistency:

“Thank you for your effort and initiative in putting this together!! Personally, I’m grateful for the fact that Sefer Hamitzvos has steadily been a part of my life, and thus creating good, for the past while…”

Chaya described how the structure helped her regain consistency after seminary:

“This has been really motivating for me. I started the previous cycle in sem, but once I finished sem I didn’t manage to keep on track as well… This is the first time since then that I have managed to keep up without missing a single day.”

G., a mother in Toronto, noted how she strengthened her long-standing commitment:

“I’ve been doing Sefer Hamitzvos for years, consistently. I added this year that I would learn the day of and the next day’s (since I usually do my shiurim at night), so that I don’t ever fall behind beH.”

L., a mother in Montreal, shared how the initiative enhanced family learning:

“There were times when I shared with family and learnt in deeper meaning by listening to shiur on Chabad.org or Yahadus books.”

Rochel added:

“This was amazing and we plan on keeping up our daily chevrusa!!”

With participation continuing to grow and the challenge now extended, organizers expressed hope that the momentum will carry through Gimmel Tammuz, strengthening daily Sefer Hamitzvos and Rambam learning.
