Rabbi Kaplan Re-elected Chairman of School Accreditation Committee

Rabbi Nochum Kaplan, director of the Merkos Chinuch Office, was re-elected chairman of the standing Standards and Review committee of the National Council for Private School Accreditation.

Rabbi Nochum Kaplan, director of the Merkos Chinuch Office, was re-elected chairman of the standing Standards and Review committee of the National Council for Private School Accreditation.

The NCPSA is the umbrella organization for accrediting agencies of the United States. At their semiannual Meeting in Vail Colorado, Rabbi Kaplan was re-elected chairman of the standing Standards and Review committee. 

Rabbi Kaplan has been involved in chinuch for decades, having served as principal of Yeshiva Days Schools in Virginia, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York and as chairman of the executive board of the National Conference of Yeshiva Principals. He currently leads Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch’s central educational agency, is the chairman of the Merkos National Accreditation Board and is vice president of the National Council for Private School Accreditation. 

Rabbi Kaplan is the author of the “Principal’s Administrative Manual” and of the widely acclaimed series of Halacha texts “Halichot Yisrael”, published by Torah Umesorah. He has written numerous articles and published widely in educational journals in both Hebrew and English.

During Rabbi Kaplan’s visit to Vail, he also met with Rabbi Dovid Mintz, Executive Director of Chabad Vail Colorado.
