Crown Heights Rov Rabbi Shmuel Bluming, who has in recent months filled the spot of his father-in-law Harav Yosef Heller in rabbanus, sold the chometz belonging to Crown Heights community members in Kollel Menachem on Friday.
Over the past few months, Harav Bluming has been coming every day to the Kollel to answer shailos posed by Kollel yungeleit and Crown Heights community members. Over the past weeks, yungeleit, anash and bochurim have been stepping into the Kollel to fill out mechiras chometz forms, authorizing Harav Bluming to sell their chometz for them.
On Friday, the mechirah was held, with Harav Bluming selling the chometz to a non-Jewish worker from Raskin’s Fruit Store. Also in attendance were Harav Levi Garelik and Rabbi Mendel Bluming.
