Yaakov (Yankel) Kleinman, a longtime member of the Long Beach, CA Chabad community, passed away Sunday 4 Shevat, 5784.

Yaakov (Yankel) Kleinman, a longtime member of the Long Beach, CA Chabad community, passed away Sunday 4 Shevat, 5784.

He was 76 years old.

A native of Passaic, NJ, he was a talmid at Yeshivos Hadar Hatorah, 770, and Kfar Chabad, receiving semicha from Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson.

He previously lived in Clifton, NJ, and Silver Spring, MD, and worked as a senior accountant for the US Dept of Defense. Known to his friends as “Jack”, he was known as a masmid in learning and a baal tzedaka.

Yaakov is survived by his wife Rosaly Kleinman and children Shaindee Rosenblat – Crown Heights; Leah Neubort – shlucha in Fair Lawn, NJ; Ari Kleinman – Atlanta, GA; and Chaiky Nagel – Los Angeles, CA.

He is also survived by siblings Gary and Yolanda.

Levaya will be held Monday, 5 Shvat, 3 pm, graveside, at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.

Monday evening, and Tuesday 10 am at the Neubort home, 23-01 Carol Place, Fair Lawn, NJ.

Wednesday 1 pm at the Rosenblat home, 686 Crown Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Thursday 2-6 pm at the Kleinman home, 4512 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA.

Friday 10 am-12 pm and Motzei Shabbos 8 pm at the Nagel home, 5967 Spelthorne Lane, Los Angeles, CA.
