Pape Family to Complete Zevi’s Torah for Bar Mitzvah
This Tuesday, 19 Elul, the Pape family will complete a Sefer Torah in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of their son Zevi. The Torah will then be led in a joyous procession to Anshei Lubavitch.
A new Sefer Torah will be completed and dedicated this coming Tuesday, 19 Elul, September 1, in honor of the 13th birthday and Bar Mitzvah of Zevi Pape.
The Sefer Torah carries a particularly personal significance for the Pape family. It was written by Zevi’s father, Crown Heights sofer Rabbi Chaim Pape, who worked on the Torah over the course of 11 years, writing it in his son’s zechus.
The celebration will begin at 3:30 PM with the writing of the final letters at the Pape home, 109 E. 46th Street.
At 4:45 PM, the new Sefer Torah will be accompanied in a joyous procession to Anshei Lubavitch, located at 578 Albany Avenue, where hakafos will begin at 5:15 PM.
Light refreshments will be served.
The Pape family invites friends and members of the community to join in celebrating the completion and dedication of the Torah and Zevi’s milestone birthday.
