A community-wide farbrengen for Tzfas was held in the stunning new beis medrash which had been recently dedicated, with the participation of prominent rabbonim from across the city.

The farbrengen, held to mark Gimmel Tammuz, was addressed by Tzfas Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi Mordechai Bistritzky, rov of the Chabad community, Rabbi Zev Slavin, head of the Ohr Simcha institutions in Kfar Chabad, and other local rabbonim. Emceeing the event was the Head Shliach to Tzfas Rabbi Chaim Kaplan.

Participants gathered for the farbrengen in the new building of Yeshivas Tze’irei Hashluchim of Tzfas, which had been dedicated in honor of Yud Alef Nissan this year. The new building, which includes a magnificent and spacious bais medrash, classrooms and a spacious mikvah, will serve the students of the Yeshiva, which is geared for young shluchim from across the world. The older buildings on the campus underwent an extensive renovation as well.

Among the participants were many local shluchim and anash, members of the yeshiva’s hanhala, as well as members of other local communities and dignitaries. The many guests expressed their admiration for the new and magnificent building that had only recently been inaugurated.

Following the conclusion of the official part of the farbrengen, the bochurim of the yeshiva joined a chassidishe farbrengen with Rabbi Slavin, which lasted well into the night. At the end, the bochurim broke into a dance, singing ‘tiere brider’ as Rabbi Kaplan headed to New York to spend Shabbos Gimmel Tammuz at the Ohel.
