Rabbi Sholem and Aidele Vigler, along with their 3 children, Shneir Zalman, Chaya Mushka and Batya Esther are heading out on shlichus to establish The Heights Chabad in Houston, Texas.
The Greater Heights (known as ‘The Heights’) is referred to as one of the top suburbs of Houston to live in. With the city’s best housing options and lowest crime rates, The Heights is becoming gentrified at lightning speed. Walking through the Heights you will encounter an eclectic array of houses from Historical homes, to three-family homes, to beautiful renovated facilities. You will encounter many friendly faces of all ages and many strollers with babies.
The Heights has become a haven for young start-up families with a growing estimation of 2,500 Jewish residents. But as these young Jewish couples start to grow into families; giving their children a Jewish experience and education becomes difficult, for the closest Jewish infrastructure is a traffic jam away.
The Heights Chabad will be the 14th Chabad House servicing the Houston Jewish Community.
