New affordable townhouses built with frum families in mind are hitting the market in Baltimore. It’s a great opportunity for Lubavitchers looking to move, but locals say you should act fast – they won’t be around for long.

A popular development of luxury townhouses in the Park Heights area of Baltimore, MD, is expanding this summer with several newly completed units. Residents have nicknamed the neighborhood “Chabad Village” due to the large anash presence there. It’s a perfect opportunity for Lubavitch families moving to town, but if you want in, you’ll have to act fast – homes are being snatched up as they hit the market.
The newly completed townhouses, which are in a prime location near the Chabad community schools and shul, were built with a chassidishe family in mind. Each house has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a large kitchen, and a finished basement. They are selling for just 390k.
“With 2500 sq. ft. of finished space, the brand new units boast a spacious layout and modern design with custom detailing throughout,” the developers told Anash.org. “Each townhome features a sizeable kitchen with dishwashers, granite countertops, and all new stainless steel appliances.”
“The fully finished basements are an ideal space for playrooms or offices. Special features include hardwood floors, custom kitchen cabinets, and signature tile work in each bathroom. The townhomes are centrally located, within walking distance to shuls and kosher stores,” they said.
In recent years, the Chabad community of Baltimore has seen a population boom, with new families moving in every year. A large number of previously-built townhouses were bought almost immediately after being placed on the market, and the developers hope to continue the trend with more anash families buying.
A member of anash living nearby told Anash.org that he hopes Chabad families will take advantage of this opportunity. “These homes are a real metzia,” he said. “They’re spacious, beautiful, and in a prime location for a Chabad family.”
The Park Heights neighborhood has two Lubavitcher shuls, Bais Lubavitch led by Rabbi Elchonon Lisbon, and Young Anash, led by Rabbi Nochum Levin, as well as additional Shabbos minyanim. This collection of townhomes is also in the center of the wider frum community, allowing access to many frum amenities and conveniences.
