JLI’s annual National Jewish Retreat opened Tuesday afternoon at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Resort, located in the stunning Stone Mountain state park. After a hiatus last summer, Jews of every stripe are gathering for six days of immersive learning with lectures, panels, text-based learning and roundtable discussions.
To ensure health safety, a medical advisory board of experts was formed to oversee the operation and participants are required to be vaccinated. The stellar group of close to 600 guests is less than usual, but presents a friendly and warm comradery after months of social distancing.
The program features more than 60 faculty including many of Chabad’s leading lecturers Rabbis Manis Friedman, Shais Taub, YY Jacobson, Moshe Bryski and JLI’s Chairman, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky.
Hands-on activities, elevated Kosher cuisine and entertainment by Shulem Lemmer and Tali Yess round out the unparalleled, inspiring experience.
Several of the sessions will be broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook on JLI’s channel through Sunday.
