Mrs. Shaindel Zelda Levitin, a longtime resident and community member of Crown Heights, passed away on Wednesday, the 22nd of Teves.
She was 98.
She had the zechus that the Rebbe attended her wedding.
She was predeceased by her husband Rabbi Binyomin Levitin in 5773.
She is survived by her children: Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin (Seattle, Washington), Mrs. Devory Kornfeld (Mercer Island, Washington) and her sister Mrs. Shulamis Shputz (Montreal, Canada).
Her Levaya will take place tomorrow, passing by 770 at 9:30 AM followed by kevurah at 10:30 AM at Montefiore Cemetery.

Before 1950 (י שבט) both the Rebbe & the Rashag went to all Lubavitcher wedding. Since the Rebbe (at that time) wasn’t able to attend.
The 2 sons in law went instead.
Our of respect for the older son in law (the Rashag) the Rebbe wouldn’t & wasn’t mesader kedushin.
