Mrs. Sari Waren, a beloved mechaneches and longtime resident of West Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, 7 Iyar.

Mrs. Sari Waren, a beloved mechaneches and longtime resident of West Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on Friday, 7 Iyar.

She was 61 years old.

Born in Queens, New York, Sari discovered Yiddishkeit and became frum on her own as a teenager. She later merited to receive a special bracha from the Rebbe for her shidduch.

Mrs. Waren lived in New Haven, Connecticut, for nearly two decades before relocating to West Hartford. A warm and devoted educator, she worked for many years as a Morah at the Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy (SCHA) and spent her summers working at Camp Gan Israel.

She was deeply involved in the West Hartford community, performing countless acts of chesed quietly and unassumingly. She was known for her warm midos and volunteered with the New Haven chevra kadisha.

She is survived by her husband, David Waren, and her children, Avi Waren, Pittsburgh, PA; Levi Waren, Las Vegas, NV; Yaffa Waren, West Hartford, CT; and Dani Waren, West Hartford, CT; and grandchildren.

She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Ruth Yaeger – Southbury, CT; and her brother, Marc Yaeger – Bardonia, NY.

The levaya will take place Sunday, 9 Iyar, at 3:45 PM near the Ohel.
