On Israel’s memorial day for fallen soldiers, shluchim, Anash, and bochurim traveled to military cemeteries across Eretz Yisroel, joining thousands of visitors honoring the fallen. The coordinated effort was carried out with the assistance of Tzach’s Security Forces Division.
At sites throughout the country, including Har Herzl in Yerushalayim, participants engaged with soldiers, officers, and members of the security and rescue services, offering words of support and opportunities to put on tefillin.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Ofen, the Rebbe’s shliach to the IDF and security forces, described the powerful atmosphere.
“The inspiration among Yidden, and among the soldiers, commanders, and members of the security and rescue forces, is tremendous,” he said. “The emunah in the miracles that Hashem performed for us during the war has brought about a strong awakening.”
He noted in particular the response to the mitzvah of tefillin. “Especially with tefillin, about which it is said that the nations will be afraid. We saw this clearly this year.”
