Mrs. Rochel Bernstein, the director of the Beis Chana Jewish Women’s Center in London, UK, where she dedicated herself to running programs for the women of the community, passed away on Tuesday, 24 Teves.

Mrs. Rochel Bernstein, the director of the Beis Chana Jewish Women’s Center in London, UK, where she dedicated herself to running programs for the women of the community, passed away on Tuesday, 24 Teves, 5782.

She was 77 years old.

Remembered by community members for always having a pleasant demeanor, Mrs. Bernstein was dedicated to the Rebbe’s mivtzoim and inyonim. She devoted her time to administering Beis Chana, applying for grants, paying attention to details, while always conducting herself with dignity and integrity.

She was a model of humility, and was exemplary in her care for others in the community and beyond.

Mrs. Bernstein was also known for her incredible hachnasos orchim, always ready to welcome someone into her housr for a meal or even for an extended stay.

She is survived by her husband Reb Benzion Bernstein and children Rabbi Mendel Bernstein – Toronto, Canada; Rabbi Avrohom Bernstein – Freehold, NJ; Shmuel Bernstein – Toronto, Canada; Mrs. Chana Sara Ifergan – London, UK; Mrs. Esther Miriam Fried – Manhattan, NY; Mrs. Devora Leah Vorst – Rotterdam, Netherlands; Mrs. Bracha Muller – Ilford, UK; Mrs. Nechama Dina Serebryanski – Kingston, PA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Levayoh will take place on Wednesday at 12:00 pm from 1 Lippa Court, Reizel Close, London N16 and will be passing Lubavitch House and Beis Chana on the way to Addas Yisroel Cemetery, Carterhatch Lane, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 4BG.

Shiva will be at 1 Lippa Court, Reizel Close, London N16, davening: 3 Minyanim required
