Mrs. Judy Silber, who was a pillar of the Jewish community in Chicago, Illinois passed away on Shabbos, 28 Teves, 5783.
She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Silber and her husband Chazzan Ephraim Silber were pillars of the Chabad community in Chicago, Illinois and the frum community at large.
The couple came to know Rabbi Shlomo Zalman and Rebbetzin Chaya Sara Hecht, whom they regarded as personal mentors and very dear friends.
Mrs. Silber gave generously of her intelligence, wisdom, and professional expertise to shluchim in Chicago and continued to give tirelessly and freely throughout the years, with enthusiasm and with deep caring.
She is survived by her husband Chazan Ephraim Silber and son R’ Mayer Silber, Dina Chaviv, and Brookie Silber.
The levaya will take place Monday, 10:00 AM, at Chicago Jewish Funerals. Skokie Chapel, 8851 Skokie Boulevard, Skokie, Illinois 60077.
Levaya in Eretz Yisroel Tuesday at 7:15 PM at Shamgar, followed by Kevurah at Har Hazeisim.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Silber Residence 2960 West Glenlake Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60659.
